Solved pkg-static upgrade -f fails with segmentation fault

Hi, trying to complete a upgrade of FreeBSD 10.4 to 11.2. After running first reboot and subseqently freebsd-update install, ran pkg-static upgrade -f. While that was running the following was displayed:
Code:
# pkg-static upgrade -f

Ran pkg-static upgrade -f again and now it's fetching but it's like watching paint dry. Never seen pkg upgrade fetch packages so slow.
Checked /etc/pf.conf to see if by mistake there was some code to limit bandwidth and there is not.

It clearly shows it takes 1 second. But its been 3 hours since starting pkg-static upgrade -f

Any idea of what might be causing such slowness with pkg upgrade?

You might want to try: # pkg-static upgrade -f pkg just to make sure that you grab the latest version of pkg. After that try using pkg instead of pkg-static to see if that helps.

Also: make sure your OS upgrade succeeded: freebsd-version -ur.

Hi, I should have wrote that pkg-static upgrade -f pkg was run, Still cannot believe after 5 hours its still at:
[150/298] Fetching m4-1.4.18,1.txz: 100% 207 KiB 211.5kB/s 00:01

Would really be nice to know what is causing such slow updates.

I was going to create a new thread regarding IPv6 not working. Can't ping6 past the router. Thinking perhaps its IPv6 not working causing pkg-static -f to be like watching paint dry. Soon as IPv6 was commented in /etc/rc.conf and ran /etc/netstart followed by pkg-static -f but it fails again...
Code:
# pkg-static upgrade -f
