pkg freezing after selecting yes(y) on upgrade. Selecting no doesn't do this.

I am using pkg version 1.21.3 and attempting to upgrade while using kernel FREEBSD 15.0.

I am attempting to upgrade my system within a VM. The system itself is on a physical disk, I just don't feel like switching to it to upgrade. On

pkg upgrade
I select yes(y) and it freezes. Nothing happens except pkg using 100% of one core. I have been sitting for roughly 30 minutes now and nothing is happening. If I select no(n) it exits as expected.

Do I just have to wait?

A) I hope the rest of the userland is 15.0 too, because FreeBSD is more than a kernel and a package system.
B) -CURRENT is not supported here.
