Build what exactly in parallel? It already does, where possible.

If you're looking for ways to speed up the build(7), have a look at WITH_META_MODE; https://wiki.freebsd.org/MetaMode
It's not perfect, but it'll save a lot of extra, and unnecessary, rebuilds.

Thank You, forget Microsoft, Azure HCI that's a joke right? Microsoft isn't serious about Azure HCI are they? There is the Saltstack, Chef and Puppet and my Azure SDK and Tools?

Make sure to *limit* concurrency to avoid use of any swap space. In particular llvm is a hog & N cc or c++ compiles can eat up all your memory….

Doing a build(7) is a good litmus test for your hardware. It'll burn through a lot of memory, fire up all cores and produce a ton of I/O.
