Palemoon 33.9.1 downloaded from the palemoon site and unpacked into ~ plays utoob video but I hear no sound. I played an ogg from wikipedia and got 'The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.' I downloaded that file and played it with mpv with no problems so I do have sound (and the media's not corrupt). ldd doesn't show any specific linkage in palemoon to any sound. It's hard to find specifically current information (FreeBSD isn't the biggest OS and palemoon is not the biggest browser and, when you put them together...) but I gather palemoon may require pulseaudio but, like a poster on the palemoon forums, I don't want pulseaudio either, if I can help it. Also, I guess it could be a problem with ffmpeg like in a firefox thread currently in this forum, but that was with ffmpeg 8. I have ffmpeg-6.1.2_16,1. So, basically, I don't know if it's just an issue with palemoon or with something else. I don't really want to bring in another browser (already have w3m, dillo, and palemoon) but I will if that would work. On the other hand, I'd rather fix palemoon but can't narrow it down. Nothing in settings or about:config that I can figure. I dunno.
