Solved opinions please: best use of freeBSD as VM guest

This seems like a silly question but I'm really trying to get some POP-CORN count here of what the best uses are of FreeBSD on a home system (runs in VM, currently)

I don't know a lot about FreeBSD and its many ports and uses, "the popcorn count" of what most people enjoy using it for.

Unfortunately I cannot run internet services because I don't have $110/mo. my ISP demands for each register-able IP.

I don't need a "desktop system", I got a "used iMac" to make that (and cell phone), plain easy.

I'm not a paid gov worker and not on a government grant (I know many 'nix hackers are, such as mozilla `foundation'). So "huge project" is not appropriate, due to the "unfairness" of differential.

But I do like development of all kinds (open dev to be kept at a minimum, due to pay differential): software, electronics.

OPINIONS PLEASE

What are some of the uses people out there have found useful or enjoyable for HOME USE of FreeBSD? Or if you don't know that, what do you spend most of your time on FreeBSD at home doing? (pay projects _not included, home only)

I run FreeBSD on a Raspberry Pi model B, it sits in my network and acts as a DHCP server, and will eventually become a DNS server also.
The router provided by my ISP does these things, but does them poorly.

I use a FreeBSD laptop for general desktop functions (I know you said you don’t need a desktop, but it’s one of my uses).

I have a VPS with Linode which runs FreeBSD (so not at home), and does web serving, Git hosting with www/gitea, personal file store with www/nextcloud, plus some other functions.
All of this used to be hosted at home on a VM.

I also have a FreeBSD-CURRENT VM that I use to maintain a few ports.
