OnlyOffice Package ?

Hello from France !

Last Week, I got an alert to Update OnlyOffice DocumentServer : so I do !

But, since that, It is Broken, and I can't manage to work it out again even with the previous version which is onlyoffice-documentserver-7.2.1.34_1.pkg from the cache of PKG (/var/cache/pkg).

The problem is that when I search Onlyoffice with pkg search onlyoffice, there is no result, even if I change the repository.
OnlyOffice is present in the list of FreshPorts in a newer version (https://www.freshports.org/www/onlyoffice-documentserver/) but can't find it !

Any Idea ?
=> Howto revert to the previous install ?
=> Howto find the newer version ?

Many Thanks for your help !

Currently there is no package available. The package build servers failed in building version 7.3.3.49_2 (the second to last version 7.3.3.49_3) package due to a missing file (core.node) in the package building stage (see log, second last line).

You could wait for version 7.3.3.49_3, see it that can be build by the build servers, or try to build from ports that version.

If that fails also with the core.node missing, there could be something wrong with the www/onlyoffice-documentserver/pkg-plist file.

Fetch a ports tree matching the package repository you are using on your system (quarterly or latest). See FreeBSD Handbook if you unfamiliar how to fetch a ports tree.

To avoid building dependencies form ports use packages, execute make install-missing-packages in the ports directory.

Before building the port mv pkg-plist pkg-plist.orig, then make. After build has finished: make makeplist > pkg-plist. Edit that file, remove first line "/you/have/to/check/what/makeplist/gives/you" and search for "core.node".

If that file is missing, try make install.

To remove the build dependencies run pkg-autoremove(8)

In assumption all goes well, open a bug report and report your findings.

For make makeplist details see FreeBSD Porter's Handbook.

This package is currently unavailable and may not be for a long time, but as a suggestion, you can temporarily use editors/libreoffice. I've been using LibreOffice for a long time and it's very stable and I haven't had any problems with it.

The equivalent of OnlyOffice Document Server is Collabora Online for LibreOffice : I'm not able to make it work on FreeBSD.

I Love FreeBSD, but, as there is not equivalent as Docker Package it is hard to grow with It : even if BastilleBSD is great, there is too few packages !

Thanks, but this too big for me, I'm just a PowerUser, not an expert !

What I don't understand is that when I reinstall with the old package, it doesn't work again...

Even if I Lovre FreeBSD, it is harder and harder to stay update with the evolution of others applications : BastilleBSD doesn't solve my problem, not enough template to concurence Docker...

Perhaps run an older build of FreeBSD, including the package you need in a Jail.

Or do what all operating systems do to run Docker/Linux and use a Virtual Machine (Bhyve, VirtualBox).

find the directories it uses including your home then delete the apps, then check to see if everything got deleted , if not delete it manually then install it again. see if that works for you.
