NVIDIA Transitions Fully Towards Open-Source GPU Kernel Modules

Well, chances are that they are just moving more and more functionality into their firmware.
If so, it is a good news. But there's possibilites that most important functionalities are moved to proprietaly user-space libraries.

And unfortunately, my GPU is Quadro P1000, which is Pascal arch, and stated to "continue to use prorietary driver". Sigh.

For older GPUs from the Maxwell, Pascal, or Volta architectures, the open-source GPU kernel modules are not compatible with your platform. Continue to use the NVIDIA proprietary driver.
