im running 580.105 nvidia drivers on FreeBSD 16 current, using a RTX3060 in this i7-11700K based desktop.
what is the implications of this error message that occurs late in the DMESG boot messages ?
first I have :
[drm] Initialized nvidia-drm 0.0.0 20160202 for nvidia0 on minor 0
then the networking is loaded , sound devices activated and finally:
[drm ERROR :nv_drm_master_set] [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000100] Failed to grab modeset ownership
How does this error affect the system ?
Xorg KDE6 works , I can zoom to Soldiers Field in Chicago using Google Earth as usual.
