So, I have been trying to enable the nvidia drivers for my old GT-520 card in my downstairs machine, and not having a lot of luck so far.
I did
So I rebooted into single-user mode, did
Everything is now back to normal, but I really would like to use my Nivida GT-520. xorg.conf shows the driver as vesa.
Considering that I have not given a terrible amount of detail, can anyone suggest something I may have not done, or need to do to get this card in operation?
I have read many of the posts to this forum on this issue, but so far, no joy.

I did
pkg install nvidia-drivers-390
and everything went ahead apparently correctly. That was followed with a pile of "notes" as to what changes I had to make to rc.conf, loader.conf, and xorg.conf, which I did. Result was a black screen with the mouse pointer on the screen, but the mouse deactivated.So I rebooted into single-user mode, did
mount -u /
