Solved NomadBSD usb not finishing boot

Hi everyone!

This is my first post here, I hope I'm writing in the right place. It's my first try of bsd os so I have absolutely no experience with it :)

I installed the latest image of NomadBSD on a USB stick from Linux using the instructions on the website. I boot from the USB flash, it starts but then the booting process doesn't finish as this error appears:
mounting from ufs:/dev/gpt/nomadroot failed with error 2.

If I hit enter it reboots and the process repeats.

Could you please help me with this?
Thank you so much,

Catalin

Maybe the USB stick is failing? You may try to use another stick or cmp the image with the stick to see if something has happened there.

That looks like your USB drive is not yet ready.

I've never used NomadBSD, but if the loader is the same as in FreeBSD, doing the following, will give your USB drive a little more time:
When the Free(Nomad)BSD boot menu appears, press <3> to get to the loader prompt, here you type the two commands below:
set kern.cam.boot_delay=20000
boot
