No analog audio on FreeBSD – Realtek ALC3239 / ALC283 shows disabled pins

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to get analog audio working on a laptop with a Realtek ALC3239 (OEM variant of ALC283). FreeBSD detects the codec, but there is no sound from speakers or headphones.
sndstat shows:

pcm0: Intel Haswell HDMI
pcm1: Realtek ALC283 (Front Analog) default
pcm2: Realtek ALC283 (Rear Analog Mic)

HDMI audio works, but the analog output path is completely inactive.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
