New wifi code in -current and 14-stable

Sounds interesting! I have AC 9560 so it looks like I'll have to wait a bit :p

On -current with an AX200 I get 32 MB/s receiving and 44 MB/s sending. For some reason I did not have to set the variables indicated in that mailing list post.
Do you have an idea as to why those speeds are seemingly limited?

I get 60-80MB/s up/down 5GHz AC on LAN transfers on Linux and Windows SMB/ftp, but had about 40MB/s with wifibox on FreeBSD some weeks ago.

Darn you, cracauer@, now I'm probably going to try upgrading a multiboot Laptop with a FreeBSD install on it to CURRENT, probably this week. I blame you!

But... looking at the link it seems it may need hw_crypto which I know nothing about, so I may just wait. Ahh and I see that the laptop in question has a card which won't work.
Still it's exciting news, IMHO, as it indicates that FreeBSD is getting there. I think, for many, wireless speed is one thing that keeps some people from switching from Linux.
:)
