T T-Daemon Yesterday at 7:52 AM #2 See freebsd-questions@ mailing list: Re: pkg.freebsd.org "hash_latest" repository introduction in FreeBSD:14:amd64 To use it, user intervention is not necessary, pkg(8) takes care of it. I don't know about other branches and architecture, but "FreeBSD:15:amd64" uses hashed packages as well. These are pkg-fetch(8)ed packages in a custom local repository. The Hashed directory was created automatically (actually .../All/Hashed/): Code: % ls /.../FreeBSD:15:amd64/latest/All/Hashed 3ddesktop-0.2.9_19~48b4628bd6.pkg AppStream-1.1.1~3c252e613c.pkg Box2D-2.4.1~679501b74d.pkg About D.
