New Binaries vs. Snapshots - Question during installation

I know, I know, this is probably obvious, but when I went through the install it asked if I wanted to use new binaries or snapshots, with the default answer being snapshots. I chose the default, not understanding fully what it meant.

What is the difference between new binaries vs. snapshots and being as I wanted the newest, freshest packages available, did I make a mistake in choosing snapshots instead of new binaries and if so how can I switch to new binaries without reinstalling?

I figured out the difference. All I needed was to actually stop and READ about it. Coming from Linux I was speed running things instead of taking my time and allowing the information to wash over me. I'll refrain from making these types of posts in the future. Thanks for your patience.
