OP B balanga Mar 17, 2018 Thread Starter #3 It seems strange that https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/dirstructure.html and hier(7) are different... It would be useful to see how /net is actually used in practice... Should I mount samba here, as well as NFS shares?

D drhowarddrfine Mar 17, 2018 #4 The Handbook does not claim to be a complete list and even points you to hier() for a complete list. /net/ is clearly stated to be for automounted NFSshares Click to expand... so I don't know if that would be a good idea.
