To my surprise, a few people have told me they've found my FreeBSD setup scripts helpful to them.

In case anyone is looking for them in future, I've merged all my general setup repos (for Linux distros, FreeBSD, Emacs, etc.) into one repo hosted on Sourcehut. The FreeBSD stuff is here:

My plan is to gradually change the FreeBSD setup into a headless config suitable for a remote dev environment, running inside a bhyve VM.
