Good morning (in the UK),
I have a fresh install of FreeBSD 13.0 and have installed Xorg, MATE and the relevant drivers via packages. However, I'm noticing a strange issue in the MATE session. Menus appear as expected (applications, places etc), but when launching an application (MATE Terminal, for example), the applications button appears on the taskbar as expected, but the application does not display. Shortly after, the taskbar button disappears.
I have read through the Xorg logs (/var/log/Xorg.*.log) for anything untoward, though I doubt this would be anything driver related. However, I'm unsure if/how MATE logging works and where the relevant logs might reside. I cannot see anything in /var/log.
Is it known if MATE keeps any relevant logs?
