Mate and mount volumes

Hi, I'm new to FreeBSD. I have noticed that NTFS support is not in version 10 any more ( mount -t ntfs). The thing is that I have installed Mate from packages and it seems Mate is using the command mount -t [dev] [place].
I really need to access NTFS partition. I have installed ntfs-3g and works fine for manual mounting but what about Mate using the old mount -t? How can I access automounting NTFS volumes from Mate?
