Solved Maintaining and Stocking A Respository for Packages on My Server

I finally got 15.1 installed on my machine and am now trying to set up and customize it to my purposes. The Handbook and Man Pages are handy for much of that, but I am unable to locate complete documentation on where to download packages and related files onto portable media that can then be loaded into my machine, without connecting to the Net. Pkg(8) is a direct online loader which is fine for complete up and running secure systems, but not really for systems which might be vulnerable. Any useful suggestion about offline install options and reference to online links to download packages will be appreciated. TIA.

SOLUTION I was looking for came in long threads posted in 2025 Thread freebsd-packages-and-porting.97708 and 2019 Thread how-can-i-visually-view-a-ports-dependencies.71129.

Like JohnJohn, I would have been interested in purchasing from the FreeBSD Foundation one or more dvds which contained preconfigured packages and their supporting libraries docs, etc., and the Foundation should consider creating an option to serve people who would rather spend their time offline. Donate is for charity and to thank people after the fact, while a purchase is a commitment to something.
