Ive been trying to get this mouse working with freebsd, but cannot. it recognizes the USB as shown above, but
the mouse does not work. On windows I believe it needs special software to connect via USB so maybe that's the issue.

Has anyone gotten this mouse to work over the USB receiver?
 
Hey, I got mine to pair with the unifying receiver by using a program called solaar. I can't recall the exact steps and I remember it being janky but once it paired you can uninstall the solaar software and the mouse will work without issue. Getting it to work with bluetooth is another story ;)
 
I’m really disappointed in you. Why didn’t you show up sooner?

Steps:

pkg install solaar
kldload uhid
kldload hidraw
solaar pair (then turn mouse on)

Some steps will show python traceback errors, but just rerun them. Namely the solaar commands.

To persist the modules on reboot I did:
sysrc kld_list+="uhid hidraw"

The mouse connected after a reboot also.
