Looking for a Firefox trick

To Firefox/FreeBSD users, who knows a way to disable all "on hover" or mouseover actions in Firefox?
E.g. this forum, I don't want to see a profile box when moving the mouse over a name without clicking.
(it's not the about:config tooltip flag, that's only for the yellow 1-line texts about screen components)

its not a firefox setting

the profile pop up on the forum is done with javascript
if you disable javascript with an addon like ublock origin then the pop up doesnt work

but then you will get a message in the forum saying

"JavaScript is disabled. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding."

Not a setting, but doesn't a way exist to prevent firefox's javascript processor from triggering events only when the mouse coordinates are inside a defined rectangle? There must be some cooperation with Xorg to get this information. How does the browser know when the mouse cursor is outside of the browser window?
