Hello all,

I have an issue with LibreOffice saving files on a NFS share, hopefully someone could help.

The client is a ThinkPad with FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE-p1 and LibreOffice version 7.1.3.2; the server is a custom built PC with XigmaNAS 12.2.0.4 (revision 8458).

There are no issues with copying and moving files and directories between the client and the server, nor with deleting or editing them. The only problem I have is with LibreOfice saving files to the NFS share; the error I get is:

It shows "Untitled 1" even if I chose a different name before hitting the "Save" button.

The workaround is to save the file locally then copy (or cut) and paste it to the NFS share.

I don't have this issue with a Raspberry Pi OS client, nor with my wife's MacBook on the latest macOS (whatever that is), both using LibreOffice.

Thank you for your time.

It worked, thanks for that.

For others who may have the same issue (and as a reminder for myself) I edited the options in the fstab file as below:

Code:
vers=3,rw,nolockd
