KDM doesn't login with LDAP passwords

Hi,

I have an interesting problem with logging in to a diskless client running KDM.

If the account is local, aka not in LDAP, I can login from the greeter screen with no issue.

If the account is in LDAP, I can't login.

I went to a virtual tty and I can login with local and LDAP.

Is there something that I need to tweak with the greeter?

Thank you,

Paul

Well, OK.

I found out the issue with logging in was a problem with needing the kde module in /etc/pam.d.

I can login fine now.

Here's the next issue.....

I login and all I have is a black screen with some "new activities" icons in the right corners. (top and bottom). They are functional.

It doesn't look like anything is getting initialized and there is no /usr/home/<user>/.k* directories getting created.

FYI...
