Kdenlive 24.x update in Ports Collection?

Hi. Anyone know how long it normally takes for new releases of Kdenlive to make it to the ports collection? I see Kdenlive 24.x has been released some 6 or 7 months ago (based on these git tags here), but ports still show 23.08.5 (though this is the latest 23.x version).

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have no idea how this [ports] process works.

Generally speaking, ports are a community effort. Every port typically has a maintainer. It's the port maintainer's job to keep it updated. The exception are ports that have ports@freebsd.org set as maintainer, those ports are unmaintained. For multimedia/kdenlive the maintainer is kde@freebsd.org (as are most KDE related ports). This is a group of volunteers specifically for KDE and related ports.
