KDE with xdm

Hello,

I've installed FreeBSD 7.2 with Kde4. I also have installed xdm as X Wind. Manager. I have edited the ttyv8 line in

ttyv8 /usr/local/kde4/bin/xdm -nodaemon xterm on secure

X.Org is installed too. rc.conf with the following lines:

local_startup="${local_startup} /usr/local/kde4/etc/rc.d"
kdm4_enable="YES"

Is there a xdm instead of xdm better?

When I reboot theres only the x window system. But no kde!?

What I have done wrong?

does the xdm binary reside in /usr/local/kde4/bin?

I think this may be a mistake

Whenever I wanted to start kde (which admittedly is not often) I just add

Code:

kdm4_enable="YES"

To my ~/.xsession file.
