KDE 4.4 is sweet! Only one problem...

Just installed Kde 4.4.3. It's fast and pretty. The only problem is that the unused area of the windows is black. It's annoying. I tried "system setting". no luck. Any suggestion?

This looks as if it is something to do with compositing. Try turning desktop effects on (or off). It could be the driver.

I enabled desktop effects. Now part of the window is transparent which is equally annoying as being black:

problem sovled! I didn't install kdebase4-runtime.
