Solved AMD64 !!! : Is pkg quarterly broken again ? pkg-static: Failed to fetch https://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:15:amd64/quarterly/meta.conf: No error

You must be kidding. Can someone confirm
pkg update -f
pkg upgrade

Works fine ?
For me it gives :
Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue...
pkg: Failed to fetch https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:15:amd64/quarterly/meta.conf: No error
pkg: Failed to fetch https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:15:amd64/quarterly/meta.txz: No error

pkg is broken again ?

Then i'll enter a bug in bugzilla.
I confirm, it's broken on FreeBSD 15.

Moreover, on FreeBSD 14 pkg update/upgrade on quarterly also does not work, the errors are the same.

It's not just you or just quarterly:

Hmm. Just tried again and it seems to be ok now.

Hi,

does this fix applies to arm64?

This is a fresh install from yesterday, using 15.0 mini memstick:

At one point, I was seeing reproducible errors of "pkg: Failed to fetch xxx: No error".

On a whim, I changed my /etc/resolv.conf from a local_unbound DNS server to a vanilla BIND/ named IPv4 DNS server -- immediately my "No Error" problem ceased. I realize this is not "conclusive", but I think it's potentially an interesting "data-point" in trying to understand the root-cause(s) of this (apparently-recurring) problem.

For anybody who sees these "pkg: ...: No error" problems, and if /etc/resolv.conf points at a local_unbound server, I suggest temporarily changing to a BIND/ named server, or a public recursive nameserver (e.g.: nameserver 8.8.8.8), to see if that resolves or effects the problem. Don't forget to change /etc/resolv.conf back afterward. :)

I just tried 8.8.8.8 here but got the same error :(

it's also not just the pkg repository, even distcache.freebsd.org is having issues··· i've been waiting literal days just to build a single package on my system, all because fetch takes an unacceptable amount of time downloading the files from it (the main websites it tries to fetch from all redirect to another ones but the thing wasn't even designed with that in mind, so it falls back to that)

opening it on a web browser also throws the following, after my browser complains about it not being secure
Code:
Requested host does not match any Subject Alternative Names (SANs) on TLS certificate
[bc128e53f5cadeab9ed75e059b2f672724030854fbfadeddf893dab898487df9] in use with this connection.

Visit https://www.fastly.com/documentation/guides/concepts/errors/#routing-errors for more information.
(well i guess that's why it's complaining···)
