Insanely loud audio on bluetooth dongle Creative BT-W5

I have this "USB audio card" sending audio signal to my JBL speakers over bluetooth. From the OS perspective, it's a USB audio:

Now, even if I do mixer vol=0.1 pcm=0.1 after the dongle pairs with the JBL speakers, audio tends to be EXTREMELY loud simply ignoring the mixer settings. When I do that a few times with changing values, in the end it starts to be manageable.

Does anybody know how to prevent that? I'm on FreeBSD 15-RELEASE.
