I'm Very New to This

Hello:

I'm about to launch a server on an older Dell Laptop, Latitude E6430 (to be specific). I have a new SSD. How do I get a copy of FreeBSD to my laptop from my iMac (Intel)? Sorry to seem like such a dunce, but I have to start somewhere. No time like the present! Thank You Very Much!---

If you can manage to get a copy of Michael Lucas' book (it seems to be out of print currently, though), I highly recommend you simply read it from cover to cover. This is a great way to getting started and becoming familiar with FreeBSD.

Seems to be in stock at Amazon, the 3rd edition is the latest.
But for installation, the link SirDice gave is more than adequate. The handbook has lots of useful articles, itself, it's just not laid out like the Lucas Book, which is more sequential, in learn A, then learn B, etc.
