Solved hpacucli

Has anyone managed to get hpacucli working on 12-RELEASE?
I get

ELF interpreter /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 not found, error 8
Abort trap

and it seems the latest version we have in the ports is 7.50_4

I'm trying to enable the write cache without a BBU

Not sure if it's going to work but a lot of those HP cards are actually rebranded LSI (Broadcom/Avago) cards, have you tried sysutils/megacli to see if it works?

had to:

fetch ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/12.1-RELEASE/lib32.txz
tar -C / -xvpf lib32.txz

Works now!

the base mfiutil doesn't work

Unfortunately that tool only works on mfi(4) devices. That MegaCli tool works on pretty much every LSI based card, regardless of the driver.
