How to configure the HP LaserJet M209dw printer using ipp​


WARNING: configure the printer to use an ipv4/ipv6 address, you cannot use the wifi and the ipv4/ipv6 at the same time as HP mentions it

Install print/cups and print/cups-filters pkg install cups cups-filters
Install print/hplip pkg install hplip
start cupsd service cupsd start
make it start at every boot, add this line to your /etc/rc.conf: cupsd_enable="YES"
open your favorite browser and goto: http://localhost:631
search the printer
choose HP as a brand name
select the following driver: HP LaserJet m207-m212
now you can send a test page
