Other Howto configure login rate limiting in XDM

Hello,

I try to configure login rate limiting in XDM. I looked at the source of the login program and there it is hard coded and configured in login.conf.
XDM does not use this mechanism.

At the moment I am looking at PAM, but there is no such module.
Am I looking at the wrong spot ?

Googling did not help. Always answers how it is done in Linux.

Maybe you could give me a hint where to look.

I'm remembering XDM slows down on false login attempts - isn't that what you meant with "login rate limiting"?

I never came across a configuration for that, but as the XDM source code is the same as Linux distribution are using: You should be able to use the docs you've already found; The only difference is that the configuration files are located in /usr/local/etc.
