man alc, it shows that is only supports AR813X & AR815X.

Drivers are not usually updated for an existing -RELEASE. Either wait for the next -RELEASE, or use -STABLE. My 10-STABLE r285396 man alc says:

  The alc device driver provides support for Atheros AR813x, AR815x, AR816x
  and AR817x PCI Express Gigabit/Fast Ethernet controllers.
