Solved How to set default umask for root

Hello,

I can set it for normal users by editing /etc/login.conf and running cap_mkdb, but this does not seem to affect files created by root. Just wondering how I can include root in this?

Thanks!

If you've changed the default, root has separate capability settings but it does also include default. Is this during interactive use? Or files created by daemons running as root?

This is for during interactive use. Just trying to set a more restrictive default permission for files created by root.
