How to keep both KDE3.5.10 AND KDE4.1.4?

7.1-RELEASE is great. I love how KDE3.5.10 runs and I love its comprehensive menu. However KDE4.1.4 also runs fine and v.4.2 is coming soon. It would be great to keep KDE3.5.10 for work and 4.1.4 for testing and tracking KDE4.
It's easy to change from 3.5 to 4.1 and back by editing /etc/ttys but does somebody know how to configure kdm to have one more entry for 3.5 (in "session" option) or use "KDE safe" entry for that?

You can have both versions.

I seem to remember that I added a .desktop file for KDE 4 where KDM 3 looks for them. I'll have to check when I'm at the relevant computer.
