Hello, i can't to install mc to my FreeBsd 8.4. I upgrade ports, and enter "> make install" and take the messege : "No such file or directory". I think to install this aplication with file. But i do not how to do it correctly.
First, 8.4 is ancient history, it is so much past it's EOL date it belongs in a museum.
Second, don't use the ">", but go to the correct port and "make install". However, using this old a release, you are basically on your own.
