How to check the ftpd version?

In addition to connecting to the ftp server to view, is there any other way? Such as using a command.

If you mean checking the version of a remote server than no, usually not possible. The very information is usually hidden so that an attacker who tries to break in doesn't get unnecessary advantage from knowing right away what security flaws might exist in the server he is attacking.
 
The ftp server version is displayed when using ftp localhost to connect, but I have not found another way.
 
Why do you want to know the version at all? Does it really matter what the version is?
