Solved hot swap wireless/ethernet not working

Hello forum,

I am unable to get the internet going once the computer is running. When I connect the ethernet cable

ifconfig
shows an IP to em0 and IP to wlan0 but no inthernet, even disconnecting the ethernet cable does not give me the internet. I try restarting each interface to see if that will help but still no success. If I restart the box with the ethernet cable pluged in everything works fine.

I am probably missing something.

That link gets me a 404 error. I will look into the handbook since that is where the address is pointing.
 
Yeah, I'm getting a 404 on a number of handbook links at the moment. I suspect they're moving things around due to the subversion to git migration. But yes, the example is in the "Link aggregation and failover" section of the handbook.
