Solved hald in freebsd 14?

So, I'm ripping through my installation and I try starting hald, like I have in the notes, but it's nowhere to be found. Is it not there is it no longer required for I dunno, xfce, virtualbox, etc?

Obligatory hint: For ports, the FreeBSD version is irrelevant.

sysutils/hal died a long time ago.

ok, fine . Cruft accumulates, ya know. Removing the hald stuff from notes.

Yeah, we know. Still see lots of people adding it to /etc/rc.conf here on the forums too
