proxmox GUI/X-org crashes after logout under proxmox

Hello everyone,
I'm running FreeBSD under Proxmox, on good performance, with one exception:
Every time I log out of the GUI, the entire system freezes instead of returning to gdm.
I can still connect via SSH afterwards, but I can only determine that xorg is no longer running.
The server seems to crash when I log out.
The log file at /var/log/Xorg.0.log does not give any good information to me.

/var/log/messages gives:
messages [B---] 0 L:[ 1+ 5 6/ 6] *(510 / 510b) <EOF> [*][X]
Jun 14 16:16:56 freebsd-proxmox pulseaudio[1160]: [] core-util.c: Failed to create secure directory (/var/run/xdg/anton/
Jun 14 16:16:56 freebsd-proxmox gdm[1401]: Gdm: GdmDisplay: Session never registered, failing
Jun 14 16:16:58 freebsd-proxmox devd[638]: check_clients: dropping disconnected client
Jun 14 16:16:58 freebsd-proxmox syslogd: last message repeated 4 times
Jun 14 16:16:59 freebsd-proxmox devd[638]: notify_clients: send() failed; dropping unresponsive client

Does anyone have any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

FreeBSD 14.2, proxmox 8.4.1

Thanks for your help. /A

Can you post the whole thing? cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | nc termbin.com 9999
The original file after crash is rather short

/var/log/Xorg.0.log
[ 142.782] _XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
[ 142.782] _XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
[ 142.782] (EE)
Fatal server error:
[ 142.782] (EE) Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running(EE)
[ 142.782] (EE)
Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at http://wiki.x.org
for help.
[ 142.782] (EE) Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.
[ 142.782] (EE)
[ 142.782] (EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.

the file /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old (2 minutes older)
contains more details - find attached, too long to post

PS: thanks for the termbin - never seen before, thats pretty cool

Nope, neither any hardware type nor the increase of memory (up to 512 MB) did make any change
