grokipedia

Immediately sketchy they don't allow their own "Grokipedia" name on pages to be easily selected as text to externally search what it is (bottom footer text is easy implying it's intentional)

I didn't read much of that page, but the amount of detail is interesting.

I just tried searching for 'spinlock'. There's an excellent page about spinlocks on wikipeida;

On grokipedia I get a straight copy of the wikipedia article, word for word. I dare say if I checksummed the html it would be the same.

Rank amateurs. They should stick to re-writing 10 million line cobol government revenue systems in 3 months.

amazing how people are recapitulating bad ideas from 2010, Cuil tried this and it was useless garbage back then, nothing seems to have changed

Fixing Wikipedia should be easy. Disallow anonymous edits and adopt the git-forges model for new contributions. Some of the Nine Theses make sense, others don't. Until this is fixed, I can't trust Wikipedia on subjects such as history, biographies & politics.

So some Alt-Right scumbag makes a Wikipedia knockoff. It is probably just him, yet again, trying tax evasion or something else like that, or he just feels like Twitter alone isn't adequate for him to Nazi-out on and he needs another space to promote his hateful garbage and authoritarianism. Oh. and by the way, I am (was) a Wikipedian. It's not censored. It is dominated by both far-right and far-left nutjobs both united by their elitism.

tbh we really only have one question: what is it that you're trying to say, such that wikipedia is allegedly censoring you?
There's no need to trust Elon to welcome the disruption he has brought.

I gave up on Wikipedia when trying to educate the English-speaking world on Ché Guevara. And just recently I gave up on the legacy media for calling María Corina Machado "far-right". I should've done this sooner when they slandered Bukele (though I think he's risking his political capital by aligning too closely with erratic Trump). I prefer his quiet soft-spoken style of deeds over words.

And I agree that this is not the place for such discussions.
