GNOME/shell switching

How could I switch between GNOME and the shell (I'm not talking about the command prompt. I talk about the real, which appear on your first startup in FreeBSD.).
 
That's called 'the console', and is usually reachable using Ctl + Alt + F2 (3, 4..)
 
And you switch back to X with ALT + F9.

The PrtScr key can also be used to cycle through all the VTYs.
