Having recently migrated my R500 thinkpad from Gentoo Linux to FreeBSD, I have still some issues left which I cannot solve without help.
I use XFCE as window-manager, SLIM as graphical login, xfce-powermanager and gnome-screensaver. I suspend my laptop to RAM via hw.acpi.lid_switch_state=S3, which works. However, from my settings with xfce-powermanager, I expect gnome-screensaver to kick in and lock the screen. Gnome-screensaver does so only occasionally, I cannot determine the parameters governing when and when not.
Also, I am under the impression, that xfce-powermanager does not work. Setting the acpi-states there did not yield any result. Further, I did not observe any dimming of the LED-backlight, which I would expect from the settings from xfce-powermanager.
Did anybody observe this behavior before or can anybody hint me on how to debug my problem more precisely?
Thanks for any help, cheers
