gnome commander problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with Gnome Commander. After installing it either from port or using pkg_add -r on amd64 FreeBSD 9.1 it won't start. If I start it from console I have error:

missing gnome-commander.xml file ... Segmentation fault.

But, on FreeBSD 9.1 i386 it is working OK (installation from port).
Can anyone direct me to solve this? As I am fond of Gnome Commander I am not interesting using another application.

I'm not by any means a GNOME expert, but are you sure your ports tree is up to date and were you trying to install x11-fm/gnome-commander (which seems to be deprecated) or x11-fm/gnome-commander2?

Installed from x11-fm/gnome-commander2. I have the same issue on a PC-BSD install (from PBI) which is rather fresh (Dec 2012) but this is not topic for this forum.

I am no expert as well, so I need help.

Check frequently the latest problems reported in FreeBSD Ports Monitoring (also known as portsmon). Take a look to this PR.

Perhaps you need to copy one of these files to your home directory, but as I said I'm not a GNOME specialist so perhaps someone else knows better what the problem is.
