Gnome 3 won't start

Like in this image, after installing Gnome 3 I've modified the rc.conf file in the directory as follows nano /etc/rc.conf and enabled all the values and when I rebooted, it shows nothing of the GUI.

Do you have the right syntax in /etc/rc.conf? E.g. hald_enable="YES". Without "=YES" you got this error message.

Note also that "gnome_enable" is an alias that includes "hald_enable," "gdm_enable," and "dbus_enable," so you don't need the latter 3. Also, at present, when logging in with GDM, 3D effects don't work properly. I have no idea why not.

I agree with the previous messages. Maybe you can post the contents of your /etc/rc.conf file.
