glib 2.76.1,2 update breaks mate-terminal (and others?)

Hi,
I just updated packages via pkg upgrade on three of my systems and each one updated (amongst other things) glib to v2.76.1,2 (from v2.74.6,2) and now they each have a broken mate-terminal (and possibly other things that I haven't even tried). I'm unable to `pkg install` the previous version of glib (v2.74.6,2) because when I try to run pkg install /var/cache/pkg/glib-2.74.6,2.pkg it says pkg: archive_read_open_filename((null)): Failed to open '(null)'. I rolled back to a previous boot environment taken a few weeks ago and mate-terminal works as usual. I upgraded only glib again to v2.76.1,2 and it breaks mate-terminal again.

Anyone else running into this and is there a fix coming?

Thanks!

Interestingly, I discovered that running mate-terminal --disable-factory brings it up. Without that switch, it fails to do anything with the new version of glib.

I'm on quarterly versions,
glib-2.74.5,2 Some useful routines of C programming (current stable version)
mate-terminal-1.26.0 Terminal component for the MATE Desktop
git-2.39.2 Distributed source code management tool
Everything works fine.
