Hello Guys,

which is the latest, update and well working version of gcc compiler that I can download and install on my FreeBSD machine (from ports obvioulsy) ?

In other words: which version do you recommend to download ?

Thanks very much in advance.

The current 'default'[*] GCC that's used is lang/gcc7, so that would be the obvious choice.

[*] For ports that require a GCC compiler.

You shouldn't need anything, the base OS already contains most of what you need.
