I have my XP box syncing its clock with my server-of-all-work. But although the server knows the correct local time (currently adjusted for Daylight Saving), it's apparently reporting the unadjusted time to XP. Is there a way to fix that?
I believe that is correct. I believe NTP reports UTC to all clients and it is the clients job to do necessary adjustments, this one time server can serve time to multiple time zones without knowing it.
Is your Windows XP machine set up to correctly adjust for Daylight Saving?
Yes, it is. It evidently doesn't expect to get UTC from a server on the LAN that is itself using localtime.
I did install the DST fix, but then I switched out that drive because I was having trouble with it. And didn't install the fix on the new drive because my aging brain said I'd already done it. [sigh]
