Solved FreeBSD computer listed as unknown device by google

While reviewing activity on my google account, I noticed that my FreeBSD computer is listed as 'Unknown device'; the message 'Activity from device of unknown type' did scare me at first.

An old login from my previous Linux installation is listed as 'Linux'. Is there a known reason why FreeBSD is not recognized/listed?

An internet search for my browser's user agent seems to list the details correctly, as below:

Your user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0

Google is just being Google like a lot of other services that don't realize or understand that half of all internet traffic (or more) goes through a FreeBSD controlled device.

It not Windows, it's not MacOS, it's not Linux, thus gets lumped in with "Other/Unknown". FreeBSD desktop usage probably barely registers in the overall picture.

Which reminds us that such things are controlled by money markets and not technical competence.
