Yes, it is enabled . Chrome have launched working properly. I am on VM of window host.

My problem with Widevine for (native) Chromium on FreeBSD - is that its still a lot slower then DRM browser /compat/ubuntu - the movies are more or less 'watchable' when it a small frame on the page - but in fullscreen its more like 10-15 fps only.

On the contrary DRM browser inside /compat/ubuntu plays everything smoothly.
 
I don't think Widevine's performance depends on the window size. The overhead for foreign-cdm is difficult to measure (or rather I don't want to bother writing a benchmark for it in my free time), but the ballpark is somewhere around +5% to the CPU utilization (assuming a relatively modern Intel Core or AMD Ryzen desktop CPU).
